Sneha Dama Krishnan

Sneha, the creative director and founder of Sunrise Dance, discovered her passion for dance at the Shivangini Academy of Arts, where it was truly love at first dance. With over 25 years of experience in Kathak and Bollywood, she has dedicated her life to sharing the joy of movement.

Her journey began at age 6, and she completed her Kathak Pranam Graduation in 2010. While studying Supply Chain Management at the University of Houston, Sneha continued to cultivate her love for dance through Rhythm India Bollywood and Indo-Fusion Dance Company, where she taught and performed for seven years.

Throughout her training, Sneha had the privilege of learning from and performing with renowned artists like Guru Pundit Birju Maharaj Ji and Saroj Khan. Her notable performances include the Houston Rockets halftime show and appearances in Bollywood Blast and Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown.

Sneha’s dedication to building community and spreading joy through dance shines brightly in every class and performance at Sunrise Dance.
